Ultra-right May Day 2012 in Moscow

On May 1, 2012, several May Day celebrations took place in Moscow shares. Nationalists took part in two of them. One procession was organized by the far right themselves, to the second - demonstrations of the left with the participation of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the "Left Front", anarchists and other organizations - some nationalist organizations.

On the "Civil March" from the metro station "Oktyabrskoye field” and the subsequent rally, coordinated with the organization “Civil Movement” (a structure created in January by various political and non-political groups within the Initiative Group of the Protest Movement; it is not actually nationalist), gathered about 500 people. This is less than in 2011, when in a similar action about 600 people took part.

Before the start of the procession, supporters of the Army of the Will of the People (AVN) handed out black ribbons (a symbol that appeared during the promotion dedicated to the 20th anniversary of collapse of the USSR) and distributed books by Yuri Mukhin. In addition to imperial flags, there were flags of the SS division "RONA" ("Russian divisions"). Alexei Mikhailov (“Russian Image”) was noticed among those gathered.

The procession was traditionally led by the Union of Orthodox Banner Bearers. Before the start of the procession, Dmitry Demushkin, the leader of the “Russians” movement, climbed on a motorcycle, but on the march he walked, and others were driving the motorcycle. Next rode a jeep flying the imperial flag. Following motorcycle parts 26 people carried the giant imperial flag. Next, the column of the “Russians” movement moved, a group of drummers, a separate column of Andrey's "Great Russia" party Saveliev. The column was closed by the least numerous “Civil Movement for freedom” and AVN, among which were several people with the symbols of the Union of the Russian People (SRN).

Georgy Borovikov, Alexander Belov, Vladimir Ermolaev ("Russians"), Konstantin Krylov (ROD), Elena Denezhkina (Center for Political Communications), Vladislav Mitskevich (Russian Club "National Interest " ), Dmitry Chernov (organizer of the "Russian March" in Pyatigorsk). Conservative human rights group", who explained to reporters that the "Russian Obraz" is no longer involved in such “marginal events”, as it cooperates with the Public chamber.

Streamers were deployed along the “Russians” column “ You won’t ban Russians”, “ Russian March”, “ Moscow is a Russian city!”, “Tomorrow belongs to us”, “Labor, nation, freedom ”.

The demonstrators shouted the slogans “Glory to Russia!”, “One for all – all for one!”, “Glory to Christ, death to Antichrist!”, “Death to enemies!”, “Glory Russian nation!”, “Russia - Russian power!”, “Russian order on Russian soil!”, “Who does not jump, that cross”, “Shoulder to shoulder to the end”, “World-Labor-May, guest worker, leave!”, “Suitcase – donkey – kishlak!”. There were also slogans like "Flag over the Kremlin!", "Putin - skiing - Magadan!" and "Down with Putin!".

Among one of the columns, they tried to chant “Garbage - shame on Russia!”, but those around him interrupted the comrades, explaining that “with the police we we're friends."

During the procession, demonstrators in the column of "Russians" burned flares and threw up their hands in the Nazi salute.

After the procession, a rally was held, led by George Borovikov. Addressed the audience a number of speakers.

D. Demushkin, in particular, called for the creation of a party nationalists.

Member of the "Civil Movement" Maxim delivered a speech Brusilovsky (according to the presenter, “also Russian”), who also represents the “Movement of the HOA”.

Activist of the National Democratic Party of Russia (NDP) Rostislav Antonov (Novosibirsk) concluded his speech with the call "Russian - Russian Siberia!".

The well-known far-right public figure Ivan Mironov called for defense of Daniil Konstantinov, who, in his opinion, was arrested false accusation, and demanded the release of all political prisoners.

The speech of Kirill Barabash (League for Responsible Power, affiliated with AVN) was devoted mainly to criticism of the government. K. Barabash also called for the release political prisoners.

Alexander Belov (“The Russians”) delivered a generally anti-government speech. "Death to the invaders! Tomorrow we will take the parliament, the day after tomorrow the Kremlin. motherland or death! he chanted at the end.

Paratrooper Mikhail Vistitsky from the movement "For Honest Power" and his group gave a small concert, after which the paratroopers called everyone to come on May 6 to Manezhnaya Square.

Then D. Demushkin spoke again, inviting everyone gathered to celebrate his birthday on May 7 at Manezhnaya Square.

At the end of the rally, its participants released black balloons into the air, which, according to According to the organizers, they symbolized a black mark on the government.

At the Oktyabrskaya metro station, according to SOVA observers, about 40-45 nationalists gathered - for the "Imperial March". They stood in a separate column, outside the metal detectors, without mixing with the left. The symbols of the Union of Orthodox Banner Bearers (SPKh) were noted (they took part in the action participation of representatives of one of the branches), the Cathedral of the Russian people, the Union NPSR, Right League, Eurasian Youth Union (ESM), as well as imperial flags in number of 5-10 pieces. And then Evgeny Valyaev was noticed with a poster "Conservative advocacy group.

Before the start of the procession, several compositions were played by the "avant-garde-conservative" group "Zlydota" by Oleg Fomin, close to the ESM.

In front of the "right column" they carried a model of a coffin with the inscription "liberalism", into which an "aspen stake" was stuck, painted in the colors of the "imperial flag". As Yury Gorsky (Russian DPNI) stated before the action, in the course of processions into the coffin should throw portraits of Russian liberals.

Then the column of nationalists moved after the procession of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the "Left Front".

Slogans were heard: “We are for great Russia!”, “Great Russian empire!”, “We are the Russian people!”, “Russia is everything, the rest is nothing!”, “Russia is Russian power!”, “Death to the liberals!”, “Death to the WTO!” and the amazing slogan "Che Guevara was Russian."

At the rally organized by the Communist Party, the right column did not went and finished the procession near the building of the State Duma.
