A group for the protection of Christian values ​​has been created in the State Duma of the Russian Federation

On May 11, 2012, it became known that an inter-factional group “for the protection of Christian values” was created in the Russian parliament, the initiator of which in April 2012 was Sergei Gavrilov and Sergei Popov. The group included 20 deputies, mostly members of the United Russia party. Among the members of the group are Valentina Tereshkova, Andrey Skoch, Irina Yarovaya, Vladimir Pligin, Andrey Klimov.

Recall that, according to the plan of its organizers, the group is aimed at counteracting " totalitarian and sectarian ideologies, aggressive liberalism, secularism, unrestricted preaching of hedonism, violence, drug and alcohol consumption, gambling addiction ."
