Dzerzhinsk: The provider won a lawsuit against the prosecutor's office

May 11, 2012 at Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region, CJSC Informsvyazstroy won a lawsuit against prosecutor's office in Dzerzhinsk.

The prosecutor demanded that the provider block access to the site on the basis of that links to materials from the Federal List of Extremist Materials were posted on several pages.

Initially, the prosecutor's office demanded to restrict access to the salam.lg.ua website by adding IP address filtering rules on the border router. Subsequently, the plaintiff repeatedly changed the requirements and eventually asked the court to oblige to restrict access to materials recognized as extremist - the book "The Life of the Prophet", the book "Pictures from the Life of the Companions of Allah" and the songs of Timur Mutsuraev.

The defendant's representative did not agree with the claim, explaining that the law does not impose such an obligation on non-providers and it is impossible to restrict access to the link.

The court, having considered the circumstances of the case, recognized the prosecutor's claim as unfounded and not subject to satisfaction.
