May 25, 2012 Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced in case . the cemetery vandalism
The court released the local historian-necropolis Anatoly Moskvin from criminal liability due to illness and ordered him to undergo compulsory treatment in a psychiatric clinic. Terms of treatment are not specified.
Recall that he was charged under Art. 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (desecration of bodies of the dead and their burial places) for the fact that in 2010-2011 he dug up the graves of girls and young women, removed their bodies and mummified them. To him acts of vandalism at the Nizhny Novgorod cemeteries "Krasnaya Etna" and "Novo-Sormovskoye" and the memorial "Motherland".
Psychological and psychiatric examination revealed that A. Moskvin mental disorder.
