Stavropol: a walk in the park as extremism

On June 1, 2012, it became known about the warning about the inadmissibility of breaking the law, handed down by the prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Stavropol to Dmitry Ivanov, one from the leaders of the Internet community "Patriots of Stavropol", which invited members of the community for a walk in the park. According to the prosecutor's office, it was planned to conduct a " mass public event aimed at discrediting state authorities power and of an extremist nature , "which required prior approval from the authorities.

D. Ivanov noticed that he only wanted to meet friends, chat and launch flying lanterns.

"Patriots of Stavropol" - emphasized moderate informal group of several hundred people.

Recall that on May 31, 2012, a similar warning was issued to a resident of Rostov-on-Don, Alena Rudko, who posted in social networks announcement of a walk with the participation of co-founders who came from Moscow League of voters Tatyana Lazareva and Sergei Parkhomenko.

In our opinion, a walk in the park does not require prior agreement and certainly cannot be the subject of the law "On countering extremist activity".
