The leader of the Jehovah's Witnesses community in Bashkortostan is accused of holding a worship service without prior approval

On June 4, 2012, the justice of the peace of court district No. 3 for the Uchalinsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan began the consideration of an administrative offense case under Part 1 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, initiated on May 14, 2012 against the head of the local community of Jehovah's Witnesses Stanislav Marchishen.

S. Marchishen is accused of holding a divine service on May 5, 2012, which was attended by 14 people, at Uchaly, st. Akhmetkhagalina 10/2, item 1 without prior approval from the local authorities.

On May 5, police officers interrupted the service of Jehovah's Witnesses in Uchaly, interrogated the believers, and transcribed their passport data. S. Marchishen was brought to the prosecutor's office.
