The sentence to the editor of the newspaper "Kazachiy Vzglyad" entered into legal force

On June 21, 2012, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kaluga Region announced that the sentence to the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Kazachiy Vzglyad", to the ataman of the National Team of the Cossack Community in Serebryaniki, Alexander Dzikovitsky, according to paragraph “b”, part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred and enmity on the basis of race, nationality) entered into force.

Recall that the Obninsk City Court of the Kaluga region sentenced Alexander Dzikovitsky to a punishment of 1 year in prison to be served in a colony-settlement.

The cassation decision of the Kaluga Regional Court upheld the verdict, and the cassation appeal of the accused was not satisfied. A. Dzikovitsky, in accordance with the current legislation, is obliged to independently arrive at the colony-settlement to serve his sentence.
