In Voronezh, the leader of a local organization of Jehovah's Witnesses was fined for holding a religious service without notifying the authorities.

June 22, 2012 it became known that the world the Leninsky District Court of Voronezh fined the leader of a local Witness organization Jehovah for holding worship without notifying the city administration.

The divine service took place in March 2012 on the territory of OOO Garazhno-stroitelnaya company”, where the congress of Jehovah's Witnesses was held.

The court saw in the actions of the head of a religious organization an administrative offense falling under part 1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation the established procedure for organizing a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing) and imposed a fine.
