A 14th-century Novgorod temple, which was claimed by the Old Believers, was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church

On June 25, 2012, it became known that the Territorial Administration of the Federal Property Management Agency transferred the Church of Dmitry Thessalonica (XIV-XV centuries) to the Novgorod Metropolis for free use. The church is located on Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street, in the historical center of the city, and is considered a monument of federal significance.

Earlier, representatives of the Novgorod community of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church (ROOC) applied for the transfer of this church to the management of the Federal Property Management Agency, but were refused .
