Charges have been brought in connection with the murder of federal judge of the Moscow City Court Eduard Chuvashov

On June 28, 2012, the Main Investigative Directorate of Russia, as part of a criminal case regarding the murder of the judge of the Moscow City Court, Eduard Chuvashov, charged Vyacheslav Isaev and Maxim Baklagin, who had been detained the day before, with committing crimes under paragraphs. “f, l” Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by an organized group, motivated by ideological hatred and enmity), Article 295 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on the life of a judge, in connection with the consideration of cases in court, committed out of revenge for the lawful activities of a judge), Part 3 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation and carrying of firearms and ammunition, committed as part of an organized group).

Let us recall that earlier in the case of the murder of a judge, Alexey Korshunov, who exploded on October 4, 2011 in the city of Zaporozhye, Ukraine, was also brought in as a defendant.

In May 2011, due to the fact that A. Korshunov was also a suspect in the case of the murder of anti-fascist Ivan Khutorsky, the cases of the murder of the judge and the anti-fascist were combined into one proceeding.

According to investigators, Isaev and Baklagin followed Khutorskoy and sent Korshunov radio signals that Khutorsky was approaching the entrance, where Korshunov shot the anti-fascist twice with a 7.62 mm revolver.

In addition, on April 12, 2010, Isaev and Baklagin committed the murder of the judge of the Moscow City Court Chuvashov. When preparing the crime, Isaev, Baklagin and others watched the judge. As a result, Korshunov fired two shots into the victim’s head from a 7.62 mm revolver, causing two gunshot wounds to the head.

The ultra-right has not yet been charged with the murder of anti-fascist Ilya Japaridze on June 28, 2009. At the end of 2010, Baklagin was detained and interrogated by investigators in the case of the murder of anti-fascist I. Japaridze . He was released and disappeared. According to media reports, in exchange for freedom, he testified against Korshunov, Tikhomirov, Isaev, as well as Nikita Tikhonov and Evgenia Khasis, convicted of the murder of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova.

On June 28, 2012, the Basmanny court arrested Baklagin and Isaev until August 16.
