June 2012 years, at least 7 people suffered from racist and neo-Nazi attacks man, one of them died. The attacks took place in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Total in the first six months in 15 regions of Russia, 5 people were killed and at least injured 77 people, one received a serious death threat.

In total, 16 people were convicted in these trials. people (including 13 people were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, 2 - to compulsory work, 1 - to corrective work). The most notable of these was sentencing members far-right group "Oryol partisans".
Since the beginning of the year, there have been at least 9 convictions for racist violence, in which the motive of hatred was taken into account, against 35 people (1 sentenced to life imprisonment, 25 people - to imprisonment, 4 - convicted conditionally, 3 - to compulsory work, 1 - to correctional, 1 - exempted from punishment "in connection with the reconciliation of the parties").
At least 3 sentences were handed down for xenophobic propaganda in June 2012 against 8 people - in Moscow, the Oryol region, the Republic of the North Ossetia-Alania. This statistic also includes those convicted of violence from far-right groups "Oryol partisans", which had articles for propaganda in the verdict for distributing flyers. Unfortunately, we cannot yet name the exact the number of people convicted under "propaganda" articles among the "partisans".
In total, in the first six months of 2012, there were 37 sentences were pronounced in 30 regions of the country, according to which 56 were convicted person (including those who were not punished due to the expiration of prescription).
In June The federal list of extremist materials was replenished 4 times, it included paragraphs 1199-1271 were introduced. The list was updated mainly due to Islamic materials, including both videos of speeches by militants and calls for military jihad and comments from forums; and at the expense of xenophobic materials such as RONS and NOMP brochures, new books by A. Dobrovolsky (Dobroslav), songs of the Kolovrat group, blogger's article Ogurtsova about the conflict in the Don children's camp, a painting by Alexander Savko with exhibition "Forbidden Art 2006".
