I have no habit of returning to the printed, but the quantity and emotionality of responses to all publications, in which religious topics are directly or indirect, especially in the context of the scandal in XXS, made me change the habit. This article is a kind of afterword to the comments that I carefully read.

The longer the story with Pussy Riot lasts, the more obvious it becomes that their hooligan trick was only a trigger for the scandal, but not at all its cause. The roots of the “Pusisters” are hidden somewhere deep in the destroyed national subconscious. The girls stepped on the rake under which the anti -tank mine lay. As a result, there was an explosion of such a deafening force that everyone quickly forgot about the singing itself.

And for those who are “for”, and for those who are “against”, it almost does not matter who, what and where they sang. The reaction to the arrest of the members of the group was unprecedented. Suffice it to say that neither Khodorkovsky during his lifetime, nor Magnitsky after death, over the years, gathered and the tenth share of the “sympathy”, which for several months, without any visible efforts, found scandalous pankers. True, Khodorkovsky and Magnitsky were also not accused of demon.

The Pussy Riot's trick was accurate exactly in the bare public nerve, any touch to which causes a convulsive and extremely painful reaction.

They sang at random, and fell into the solar plexus of national and religious complexes. Russia suffocated with anger and shame at the same time. Well, they should thank them at least for helping us to find a pain point.

Awakening of national conscience

Both the unanimous support of the educated class, and the frenzied aggression, with which the official church and the authority led by it fell on Pussy Riot, from my point of view, indicate some suppressed instincts that are torn from the bowels of modern Russian subconscious. With such obsession, they usually try to drown out the voice of conscience.

Today, literally all aspects of the life of Russian society are pierced with a lie. Moral relativism and legal nihilism rapidly destroy public and state foundations. But at the same time, deep down, in the caches of the subconscious, the people retain the abstract idea of the moral ideal - the image of truth.

No matter how superficial the Christianization of the Russian people, no matter how it was a sparkling with the dogmas of Orthodoxy, it could not go in vain and not at all leave traces in folk character.

The desire of the people for truth and the inability to live in truth

- Here is the through moral conflict that passes through the entire Russian history, then fading, then flaring up with a fire. And today, to whom - the Gospel, and to whom - the moral code of the builder of communism - knock on the temple: you can’t live like this.

Russian public consciousness is depressing. It is characterized by "moral imbalance and concern." People have mastered a sense of fatalistic doom, inevitability and inevitability of punishment. More and more often you have to witness fantastic scenes. The steep oligarchs, the “fathers of the nation”, sitting at a meeting of some subcommitte in the US Senate, quietly talk to each other about how their Russian corruption got out. The head of the FSB complains to a friend-banker that literally everything was rotten. And she decided from the Ministry of Internal Affairs indignant about the cynicism of the “cops”, on behalf of which he “grinds” the problem. What can we say about ordinary citizens.

And therefore, although people by inertia scold power, they gradually switch to themselves. They feel that there is some kind of kinship between the power criticized by them and them, that the ugliness of the authorities is partly their own ugliness. The realization that the authorities do nothing that the society itself would not do. The scale is different, but the essence of this does not change.

Russian Orthodox Church as a "natural monopoly"

Willy-nilly, people today have to think more and more about who they are, why they are, what they are, and what will happen to them if they continue to remain the same. All these issues are directed into infinity. And infinity, as you know, is the territory of faith. Thus, the awakening of conscience inevitably pushes part of Russian society in search of faith. One kind of truth of this kind is today for the stability of power for a threat than a dozen opposition parties.

But the truth -lovers and religious women meet an unexpected obstacle: it turns out that in Russia there is a state monopoly on faith. It seems to a contemporary as natural as the Gazprom monopoly on the production and sale of gas. The state transfers the “license” to the “correct faith” of religious corporations selected by it, primarily the Russian Orthodox Church. There is practically no free faith for "private consumption" in Russia.

This state of affairs turned out historically. For a very long time, Orthodoxy, as later and communism, was nationalized in Russia. By the middle of the 19th century, Orthodoxy was reborn into a surrogate religion, more similar to state ideology. Such - either religion, or ideology - Orthodoxy remained during the Soviet regime, although it was driven into reservation.

But, as soon as a chance appeared from this reservation to get out, Orthodoxy rushed out and took all the free spiritual space, not without pleasure dealing with the former competitor and capturing his “markets”. Having lost the opportunity to go to the party meeting, the layman used to the ideological custody reached out to the church. Such a parishioner was accepted there with open arms.

Political question

There is little Christian in official Orthodoxy today. Well, if only because Christianity in essence cannot be a national religion. But Russian Orthodoxy has a completely different mission, the significance of which is often underestimated - it is the ideological basis of Russian statehood. That's why

The attitude to Orthodoxy in Russia is not so much religious as political.

On this, Pussy Riot “burnt”.

If it really was about the “attempt” on the feelings of believers, then in today's godless Russia to the action in XXS, no one would pay attention at all. Temples are burning all over the country, priests kill, icons steal, and no one has yet moved. Kirkorov sings in the temple on the christening of her daughter, born of a surrogate mother, and all the eagerly believers are touched. But Pussy Riot swung at the “holy” - the connection of the church with the state, and therefore their act was qualified as an attempt on the basis of the constitutional system.

In fact, prisoners were charged with treason, hidden behind two legal “false panels”. It turns out even funny -

The accusation of hooliganism covers the accusation of blasphemy, and the accusation of blasphemy covers the accusation of subversive activities.

But in fact - this is a purely political process. He has much more in common with the trial of some Trotskyist-Zinovievsky bloc than with a medieval witch hunt.

The authorities are considered by Pussy Riot as "rioters worse than Pugachev." They not only go through one category with the organizers of rallies, but cause even a greater concern of the Kremlin, because they encroached on the fact that the power itself considers its own basis. They are called enemies of faith, but are considered enemies of the people. I am sure that in reality they are engaged in the guys from the "E" management - this is according to their profile.

The end of church history

Pussy Riot turned a very important page in Russian history. The Russian Orthodox Church, thanks to their trick, has become the object of criticism in the widest public circles. From the discussion of so many topics, a taboo of self -censorship has been removed. Moreover, I almost have no doubt that within the Church these events will breed considerable fermentation.

No matter how the fate of prisoners develops, attacks on the church will continue to continue. This is a vicious circle.

A awakening conscience will give rise to the need for faith. Searches of faith will run into a church monopoly. The church will defend the "true faith." The state will be entrusted to implement it. State repressions will cause new remorse.

As a result, in a few years in Russia there will be such a “Pussy Riot” that today's singing will seem to be a school choir.

Everyone is waiting for the “reasonable actions” of the authorities, many predict that in the near future the girls will let go and go down the case on the brakes. I would very much like to make a mistake in my forecast, but it seems to me that the outcome of this case will not be quick. Witch hunting could still be stopped, and the process over the traitors of the Motherland is not. Not the time.
