The investigation into the case of the Northern Brotherhood ideologist has been completed

On July 10, 2012, it became known that the investigative department of the FSB of the Russian Federation had completed the investigation of the criminal case against the ideologist of the far-right group “Northern Brotherhood” Pyotr Khomyakov.

In the final version, Khomyakov was charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national hatred).

In 2008, the government allocated 8.8 billion rubles for work on the design of the Central Ring Road (CRR), part of this money was sent to Spetsmetroproekt LLC, which invited one of Khomyakov’s “associates”, Sergei Volkov, to one of the leadership positions. Volkov appointed Khomyakov as head of one of the LLC’s areas. Next, Khomyakov hired one of the leaders of the Northern Brotherhood, Oleg Troshkin , and another group of activists from this organization as head of the personnel department of Spetsmetroproekt. Anton Mukhachev (Fly) also worked at Spetsmetroproekt for one month. Later, he disagreed with P. Khomyakov.

In 2009, Khomyakov and Mukhachev were arrested. Volkov, who worked in Sochi, received a summons for interrogation and immediately went abroad. Khomyakov began to cooperate with the investigation, his preventive measure was changed to a written undertaking not to leave the place, after which he fled to Ukraine. According to investigators, Khomyakov was initially supported financially by Oleg Troshkin. After Troshkin’s arrest, Khomyakov lost his funding and flew to Russia, where he was arrested by the Russian FSB.
