An attempt was made on the mufti and the murder of his deputy in Kazan

19 In July 2012, two crimes were committed in Kazan - an attempt on the mufti of Tatarstan Ildus Faizova and the murder of deputy mufti Valiulli Yakupova.

I. Fayzov's car was blown up at 11 am during courtyard of house number 35 on Chetaeva street in Kazan. The mufti was thrown out of the explosive car wave. Currently hospitalized.

V. Yakupov was shot dead at 10 am near his Houses. He died on the spot from his wounds.

In fact attempts and murders are prosecuted.

Analysts link the incidents in Kazan with the activation of Wahhabis in Tatarstan.
