In Astrakhan, members of a gang who were preparing a terrorist attack in an entertainment center were sentenced

On July 25, 2012, the Astrakhan Regional Court issued a verdict in the case against a gang that committed robberies and terrorist acts.

In the dock were the 35-year-old head of the gang Musa Yasulov, as well as his accomplices Shamil Bagandov, Ruslan Belkin-Yablukov and Alexey Antonov.

Recall that on the account of the gang there were explosions near the buildings of the city Traffic Police and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Volgograd, which occurred in April 2011, and also an attempt to organize an explosion of the cultural and entertainment complex "Dair" in Astrakhan on the night of May 8-9, 2011. According to the investigation, the gang was created in 2011 by several people who adhere to radical movement in Islam. The gang was created for the purpose of "committing terrorist acts and attacks on the lives of law enforcement officers bodies, to intimidate the population of the Astrakhan region and located nearby regions, to influence the authorities and law enforcement agencies of these regions, wanting to force them to create preferential socio-economic living conditions for people who adhere to the ideas of radical Islam, and thereby demonstrate the superiority of these individuals and their way of life over others members of Russian society.

Earlier, in the case of explosions in Volgograd, a verdict was passed in regarding the leader of the gang - Musa Yasulov, who on September 30, 2011 The Volgograd regional court sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony. According to the investigation, the other defendants did not take part in the organization of these explosions. They were carried out by Musa Yasulov along with another a member of the gang - Andrey Antonov, who was killed during the arrest.

Now against Musa Yasulov was charged with attempted to commit a terrorist act in the Dair complex (part 1 of article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), participation in stable armed criminal gang (part 2 of article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), committing robbery (clause "a" part 4 of article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and illegal possession of weapons (part 3 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On the basis of the cumulative sentences, the court sentenced him to 19 years in a strict regime colony.

Shamila Bagandova accused of illegal acquisition and transportation of firearms, by a group persons by prior agreement (part 2 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The court sentenced him to 4.5 years in a strict regime colony.

Ruslana Belkin-Yablukov was accused of threatening to use violence against representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) (threatened an employee of the investigative insulator) and illegal storage of ammunition (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The court sentenced him to 6 years in a strict regime colony.

Alexey Antonov (the brother of the deceased accomplice in the explosions in Volgograd - Andrey Antonov) was accused of illegal storage of ammunition (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The court sentenced him to 3 years in a colony-settlement.
