Members of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Chelyabinsk are suspected of attempting a “violent seizure of power”

July 31, 2012 in the framework of a criminal case initiated in 2011 under Part 1 of Art. 30 and Art. 278 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt on violent seizure of power), in Chelyabinsk five young people aged 30-35 were detained, suspected of involvement in organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.

The FSB department for the Chelyabinsk region reported that one of detained men " has already been involved in criminal liability for an extremist crime ”.

During the investigation, the detainees will be under guards.
