Paratroopers attack in Orel

On August 2, 2012, in Orel, on the Red Bridge, about 20 paratroopers with Russian flags smashed a Lada Priora car driven by a driver of "non-Slavic appearance."

The attack took place in front of passers-by. Drunken paratroopers stopped the movement. The windows and doors of the car were smashed with flagpoles, shouting "For Russia!!! For the Airborne Forces!!!". The attackers broke down the car doors and climbed inside. According to an eyewitness who described the incident on the VKontakte social network, when the driver got out of the car, they began to beat him.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Oryol region confirmed that the paratroopers crashed the car, but stated that the driver himself was not injured, and when the question of investigating this incident and initiating a case was raised, he refused to write a statement.
