In Tyumen they intend to recognize leaflets criticizing the authorities, police and the Russian Orthodox Church as extremist

On July 24, 2012, it became known that the prosecutor's office Central District of Tyumen filed a claim with the Central District Court of Tyumen on the recognition of the leaflets "To everyone who works in law enforcement agencies" and "Russia in hands of traitors" with extremist materials.

An examination commissioned by the prosecutor's office came to concluded that the leaflet "To everyone who works in law enforcement agencies" contained calls for inciting social discord to government officials and employees law enforcement agencies ", and in the leaflet "Russia is in the hands of traitors" - " to representatives of the authorities and ministers Russian Orthodox Church ".

Unfortunately, we were not able to get acquainted with the text of the leaflet "Russia in in the hands of traitors", on the fact of the distribution of which in May 2012, a criminal case according to part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code in the Oryol region, however, according to the prosecutor's office, it contains some harsh statements criticizing government officials and the Russian Orthodox Church, which are not a social group protected by anti-extremist legislation.

However, the leaflet "To everyone who works in law enforcement agencies" is available on the website of Svetlana Peunova's "Will" party . This rather confused material criticizes the Russian foreign and domestic politics, enumerates instances of police brutality and calls for police officers "go over to the side of the people" and not follow "criminal orders", but, in our opinion, does not contain signs of extremism.

Recall, we believe that the authorities and administrations, as well as also law enforcement officers are not a social group, protected by anti-extremist legislation. In addition, the decision The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of July 28, 2011 says that " criticism in the media of officials (professional politicians), their actions and beliefs in itself should not regarded in all cases as an act of humiliation dignity of a person or a group of persons, since in relation to these persons the limits of acceptable criticism are wider than in relation to private individuals ."
