In Ufa, three materials are recognized as extremist

August 14, 2012 Ordzhonikidzevsky District Prosecutor's Office Ufa reported that the Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Ufa recognized as extremist materials of the article "Ayrat Dilmukhametov continues to fight in a Siberian prison" and "Appeal to the Bashkirs and not only", posted on the website of the Bashkir public movement "Kuk bure", and the material "To the last drop of blood!", discovered on the NS/WP website forum. According to the prosecutor's office, with which the court agreed, the first two material " incited and called for the spoiling of ballot papers in order to recognition of the past elections as invalid, destabilization of the political situation and inciting hostility in society ." Signs of extremism in the third text concluded in " aggression in the form of threats, incitement and calls for extremist activities, inciting hatred, and information about unlawful interference in activities of the relevant authorities .

In addition, the prosecutor's office announced the conduct of pre-investigation checks on the facts of the publication of materials under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity).

In our opinion, two of the three materials are recognized extremist wrongfully. In the article "Ayrat Dilmukhametov continues to fight in Siberian Prison" describes the misadventures of Dilmukhametov, a prominent in 2011 Bashkir nationalist oppositionist, sentenced according to part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for the implementation of extremist activity), Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for the implementation terrorist activities or public justification of terrorism) and Part 1 of Art. 282 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of national and religious hatred) by 6 years settlement colonies. The article, of course, was written from a nationalist position. (the " Kuk bure " movement generally unites supporters of Bashkir nationalism), but we failed to detect any signs of extremism in it. Statement about the coming revolution can hardly be considered a "destabilization of the political situation", and expressions like "bastard pharaohs" - "inciting hatred in society."

The material "Appeal to the Bashkirs and not only", dedicated to December 2011 elections contains moderate nationalist statements and criticism of "United Russia" and calls to express disagreement with the authorities as follows: come to the polls, delete all parties from the list and write: "against all". Thus, considered the authors of the "Appeal", " the discontent of the people will force the authorities to make correct conclusions ." Defacing a ballot is not an illegal act, and calling for it cannot be interpreted as an extremist statement. Criticism of political associations is also allowed by Russian law.

"To the last drop of blood!" indeed calls for violence and anti-Semitic remarks, and the court's decision is presented to us legitimate.
