On August 15, 2012, the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation dismissed the complaint of the defense of Nazi skinhead Denis Voloshin, who was convicted of murder motivated by hatred.
Thus, the verdict of the Moscow City Court of June 20 came into force. Recall that Voloshin was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in a penal colony.
The collegium removed from the convict an additional punishment in the form of one year of restriction of freedom.
At the time of the crime, Voloshin was a minor, so the court could not sentence him to imprisonment for more than 10 years.
