The leaders of the Kazan Al-Ikhlas mosque were brought to justice for illegally organizing a rally

On August 22, 2012, it became known that the Novo-Savinovsky Magistrate's Court district of Kazan is considering administrative cases against Rustem Safin and Marsa Akhmetova - imams of the Al-Ikhlas mosque . They are charged under Part 2 of Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (organization of a public event without filing in the prescribed manner notifications).

On August 19, 2012, the leadership of the mosque held Eid al-Fitr celebration in Victory Park. The Kazan prosecutor's office believes that the celebration was turned into a rally, since R. Safin spoke to those gathered with speech, and many of those present were holding Hizb ut-Tahrir flags.

Recording of his speech sent for examination for revealing signs of extremism in it.

Recall that R. Safin has already been involved under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for organizing a rally on 2 August.
