The trial in the case of the Irkutsk "Hammermen" has begun

On September 5, 2012, the Irkutsk Regional Court began considering a criminal case against a student Artyom Anufriev Medical University, born in 1992 and Nikita Lytkin born in 1993

During the meeting, the state prosecutor charged them with attacks on bystanders in the Akademgorodok of Irkutsk in the period from November 2010 to April 2011. Anufriev and Lytkin are accused of 6 murders and 8 attempted murders, as well as three robberies and mockery of a corpse. They are charged with Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), part 3. art. 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder), part 2 of Art. 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (desecration of the bodies deceased), part 1 of Art. 282.1 (organization of an extremist community), part 1, 3 art. 161 (robbery).

So, according to investigators, on December 1, 2010, they beat to death a 12-year-old boy who was walking up a hill with a hammer and a bat. And on December 29, they attacked a pregnant woman and a 6-year-old girl with mallets (carpenter's hammer), who survived only due to the fact that the criminals were frightened off by a car that suddenly drove up.

In addition, A. Anufriev and N. Lytkin were charged with creating an extremist community. " In order to involve others in the extremist community, they created several groups on social networks, including one called "We are gods - we decide who lives and who dies," the state prosecutor said.

A. Anufriev was also charged with involving a minor in criminal activity, since N. Lytkin was under 18 at the time of the murders. Nazi skinheads A. Anufriev and N. Lytkin were well acquainted at the time of the crimes. They have been in contact since 2004. Together they studied at school number 19, were engaged in the same sports club.

A. Anufriev refused to admit his guilt in participation in an extremist community and in involving a minor in criminal activities. He also refused to plead guilty to 4 out of 6 murders, all attempted murders and robberies. A. Anufriev pleaded guilty to the murder of two women on December 16, 2010 and April 3, 2011. In addition, he agreed with the accusation of mocking the corpse of the last victim.

N. Lytkin also refused to plead guilty to participating in an extremist community. At the same time, he agreed with the accusation of all 6 murders, 8 attempts, 3 robberies and mockery of a corpse.

The court proceeded to interrogate the victims and witnesses of the prosecution. The parents and brother of the first murdered boy spoke.
