Tyumen: fine for "Miracles of the Koran"

On September 6, 2012, it became known that the Magistrate's Court Leninsky district of Tyumen delivered a sentence under Art. 20.29 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (mass distribution of extremist materials) against a resident of Tyumen for placement in the social network of a link to the film "Miracles of the Koran".

A 24-year-old local resident was fined 3,000 rubles.

The film "Miracles of the Koran" is included in the Federal List extremist materials under number 873 by the decision of the Nefteyugansk city court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, Tyumen Region from 04/07/2011.

In our opinion, the film was recognized as extremist unlawfully and, accordingly, the administrative punishment for his spreading. We did not discover in this more than two hours historical and educational video no calls for violence, no excitement hate or discriminatory speech. The film is sustained in emphatically respectful tone towards other religions (although, of course, it affirms the superiority of Islam; the opposite would be strange).
