On September 24, 2012, some circumstances of the criminal case became known. cases against the leader of the Association of Pomors of the Arkhangelsk region Ivan Moseev, which was initiated on July 15, 2012 under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred).
Ivan Moseev is suspected of leaving on the website of the Ekho news agency on April 1, 2012 Severa" comment under the nickname "Pomors", insulting ethnic Russians.
According to the National Accent portal, attracted by the investigation an expert linguist regarded the comment as a public call to an extremist activities "against the national group "Russians" from personal hostility towards persons of a given nationality " . From our point of view, the statement, left on the site "Echo of the North", which leads "NatsAkcent", may well be classified as hate speech, but it does not in any way contain any appeals, and the initiation of a criminal case on such an insignificant occasion looks completely absurd. Meanwhile, according to Moseev, he has already had two search, confiscating his computer and the laptops of his wife and minor child.
Note also that Moseev categorically refuses to admit his guilt. According to investigation, the comment was left with his IP, however, the provider Rostelecom, whose services Moseev uses, in an official certificate he claims that the comment was made not from a static, but from a dynamic address.
Ivan Moseev is a member and founder of the Council nationalities of the Arkhangelsk region, a member of the presidium of the regional All-Russian Society for the Protection of Monuments.
