The author of the article "Stop Genocide" filed an appeal

On September 25, 2012, Vasily Bokin, the author of the article "Stop the Genocide", recognized on August 21, 2012 by the Inzensky District Court of the Ulyanovsk Region as extremist material, appealed against the court decision.

On appeal, Bokin asks to cancel the decision. He points to a number of procedural violations committed during the examination and the court session, and also claims that the experts misinterpreted the provisions of the article. " The conclusion of the examination that the article allegedly contains a statement of the possibility and necessity of using weapons also does not correspond to the content of the text ," the document says.

As a reminder, we believe that the material was unlawfully recognized as extremist. The author of the article does not call for violence and even claims that it is harmful. However, in our opinion, the newspaper deserves a warning, since the style of the presentation of the terrorist version of the development of events is such that it clearly arouses sympathy for this version.
