On October 11, 2012, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Omsk Region reported that the investigation of the criminal case against the 4th year student of the Omsk Industrial and Economic College Andrei Chernousov, accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of race, nationality, committed in public). The case was sent to the justice of the peace of the court district No. 48 of the Kirov district of the city of Omsk for consideration on the merits.
During the investigation, it was established that in September 2010, Chernousov posted on the Internet drawings, photographs and texts promoting Nazi paraphernalia and symbols. In addition, in October 2010, Chernousov made a poster also promoting Nazi paraphernalia and symbols, and hung it in Omsk near the Telecentre public transport stop. The accused also wrote xenophobic appeals on the walls of residential buildings and buildings.
The crime was solved by officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Omsk region.
