On October 12, 2012, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania announced that the case under paragraphs. "a", "b" part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed with the use of an object used as a weapon, based on national hatred) in relation to a 47-year-old native of the Chechen Republic living in Mozdok region.
The investigation was carried out by the SO for the Mozdok district of the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
According to the investigation, on August 4, 2012, at about 11:30 p.m. in the village of Kievskoye, Mozdok district, the accused, armed with an ax, threatened to kill local residents. Then the accused approached them and for no apparent reason hit two people. One of the victims managed to grab the ax and throw it aside. The local residents went home, but the accused continued to shout xenophobic insults.
