Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region: “In 2012, 12 extremist crimes were recorded in the region”

In September 2012, an Azerbaijani citizen and a native of Central Asia were beaten in the Sovetsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. The attackers were detained on September 21, 2012.
In May 2012, in the Tonkin district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, about twenty gravestones were damaged and five Orthodox crosses in the cemetery were knocked down.
