The Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art in St. Petersburg refused to accept Marat Gelman's exhibition "Icons"

October 16, 2012 it became known that the St. Petersburg Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art "Ricordi" proposed to postpone the opening of the exhibition of Marat Gelman "Icons" from November 15, 2012 to the end 2013.

« Unfortunately, currently in the city there was an extremely unfavorable atmosphere for holding the above exhibition ”, - said in a letter from representatives of the fund.

Marat Gelman decided to cancel the exhibition.

Recall that in September 2012, Orthodox activists were collecting signatures under an appeal to the governor with a request to prevent the said exhibition from being held in the city.
