October 22, 2012 it became known that back in September the prosecutor's office of the Neftekumsky district of the Stavropol Territory saw in the fact schoolgirls from the village of Kara-Tyube visiting classes in Muslim headscarves violation of education law. Wearing such clothes, according to prosecutor's office, violates the secular nature of education.
In the name of the director of the school, Marina Savchenko, an order requiring disciplinary action against two head teachers and class teachers of students who came to school in headscarves. However the director, in a conversation with the district prosecutor, refused to do so.
According to her, girls are responsible for the appearance their parents. “I, as the director of the school, do not see the fault of my subordinates in this ,” - she said.
