Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina were transferred to the colony

On October 22, 2012, it became known that Pussy Riot members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina were transferred to a colony. According to Tolokonnikova’s husband Pyotr Verzilov, Alekhina was sent to one of the women’s colonies in the Perm Territory, and his wife was sent to one of the Mordovian colonies. There is no exact information yet about where exactly the convicts will serve their sentences.

Thus, the lawyers’ requests to defer the punishment of their clients until their children came of age, as well as to leave them to serve their sentences in Moscow pre-trial detention center No. 6, were not granted.

Let us remind you that we consider the criminal sentence against the participants of the action in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior under a criminal article, according to which two of them received a real term of imprisonment to be served in a general regime colony, to be unlawful. Sources
