On October 23, 2012, the Trans-Baikal Regional Court canceled the verdict of the Chita District Court against Andrey and Lucia Raitin under Part 1 of Art. 282 The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting religious hatred), issued for the distribution of Jehovah's Witnesses literature banned "for extremism", closed the criminal case and recognized for the Raitins the right to rehabilitation.
This is the third verdict of acquittal against Jehovah's Witnesses.
On December 22, 2011, the Supreme Court of the Altai Republic recognized Alexandra Kalistratova not guilty of crime, under Part. 1 Article. 282 of the Criminal Code, decided to dismiss the case for lack of corpus delicti and recognized Kalistratov's right to rehabilitation, and on July 20, 2012, the Yoshkar-Ola City Court of the Republic Mari El justified according to part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred or enmity on the grounds of attitude to religion) Maxima Kalinin.
