In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug it is forbidden to hold meetings in places of worship

October 25, 2012 deputies of the Duma of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug amended the regional law "On the procedure for filing notification of holding a public event on the territory of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug”. Amendments prohibit meetings in a number of places, including places of worship.

The number of participants in a public event is limited to: "The maximum occupancy of the territory or premises in the venues public event - no more than one person per square meter. IN premises equipped with stationary spectator seats - in the amount not exceeding the number of stationary spectator seats. In rooms not equipped stationary spectator seats - no more than one person per one square meter or in accordance with the technical passports of buildings and structures" .
