In Belgorod, the court declared illegal the allocation of land for the construction of a diocesan center

On October 24, 2012, it became known that residents of Belgorod houses number 20 on Holy Trinity Boulevard have been protesting against construction of a diocesan center on a land plot previously owned by this house. It was originally planned to build a center near another house, but then it turned out that the allocated territory was not enough, and the city authorities handed over to the Church almost half of the adjacent plot of house No. 20 - 738 m according to the documents, de facto - more than 1200 m. The decision was made in 2011, the residents of the house did not informed.

In mid-October 2012, the Oktyabrsky District Court Belgorod satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office for recognition of the decision to transfer the site diocese illegal. Despite this, construction work continued.
