On October 29, 2012, it became known that anti-Semitic graffiti appeared on Mira Avenue in Kostroma.
One of the inscriptions read "Death to the regime", where instead of the letter "Zh" a Magedovid was drawn. The other is "No ZOG" (ZOG - Zionist Occupation Government - a term actively used by anti-Semites).
The chief rabbi of Kostroma and the Kostroma region, Nison Ruppo, said that earlier a leaflet with anti-Semitic appeals had been found near the synagogue.
Suspected of drawing anti-Semitic graffiti detained.
