The verdict to the creators of "Ufa Gubernskaya" came into force

"b", "c" part 2 of Art. 282 (excitement hate committed by a person using his official position, organized group) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Shvetsov sentenced to four years in prison freedom on probation and probation of three years, he is forbidden to work as a journalist during two years; Orlov, Kuchumov and Gabdrafikov - to two years in prison conditionally and a probationary period of two years; Nesterov - a year of imprisonment conditionally and on probation for one year.

The court considered it proven that the defendants left comments "extremist content" on the site. Meanwhile, the defendants admitted their guilt neither during the investigation nor in court.

Recall that we do not know the texts of the defendants in the case, which would fell under the articles incriminated to them. Comments on the site are valid were often offensive and nationalistic in nature, but we do not believe that the editors of the site should be held criminally liable for statements readers. The accusation of creating an extremist community implies, that either the defendants themselves are guilty of extremist acts, or those who left comments - members of this community, which would be too broad interpretation of Article 282.1.
