Zapolyarny: the case of xenophobic videos on the VKontakte network has been brought to court

In November 2012 in the city of Zapolyarny, Murmansk region was completed the investigation into the case of incitement of national and social hatred (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The case has already been transferred to the Pechenga District Court for consideration on the merits.

23-year-old Anton Tsvetkov will soon be in the dock, whom accused of posting "Anton YARUSSKY Tsvetkov" on his page on the VKontakte social network videos that offend people from the Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as law enforcement officers.

As a reminder, we do not consider representatives of law enforcement agencies a special social group requiring protection, they are already under the protection of other articles of Russian legislation.

During the investigation, the accused fully admitted his guilt and repented of his deed.

In May of this year, in the city of Zapolyarny, a verdict was passed in a similar case against two local residents (for more details, see here ).
