Banned Muslim texts seized in Krasnodar Territory and Adygea

On November 22, 2012, it became known that during searches, 200 printed and about 50 electronic publications included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials were confiscated from Muslims in the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea.

According to the police, a special role in the spread of radical Islam in the Krasnodar Territory is played by Alexander Magadov and Farid Rashidi, “ posing as leaders of Muslims in the Krasnodar Territory ” and “ introducing a distorted interpretation of Islam into the ideology of local Muslims ” - “ in public they promoted tolerance and friendship between nations , but in a narrow circle they spread radical ideas .”

Investigators intend to conduct an additional check “ after identifying prohibited literature .”

Unfortunately, it is not clear which texts were seized during the search. Only Seyid Qutab’s book is mentioned (probably referring to the book “The Future Belongs to Islam,” which was recognized as extremist in August 2012).
