On November 27, 2012, the prosecutor's office of Novy Urengoy announced that the court recognized as extremist materials from two Internet sites that are resources of the United Wilayat of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay (a structural subdivision of the international organization "Imarat Kavkaz" ("Caucasian Emirate"), and the international organization "Imarat Kavkaz" ("Caucasian Emirate").
These sites contain information about the activities of this organization, including information about the commission of terrorist acts, shelling, and other acts of intimidation against law enforcement officers, military personnel, government officials and the clergy. On the main pages of Internet sites there are inscriptions in Cyrillic “Caucasus Emirate. United Vilayat of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay. Official website of the Mujahideen of the United Vilayat of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay” and “Caucasus Emirate. News. Data. Analytics".
Recall that in 2010, by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the activities of the international organization "Caucasus Emirate" ("Caucasian Emirate") were recognized as terrorist and banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The prosecutor of the city of Novy Urengoy filed a lawsuit to recognize information materials posted on Internet sites as extremist. The Novy Urengoy City Court granted the prosecutor's demands in full.
