Statistical data on the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church for 2012

At the end of 2012, various Orthodox dioceses hosted annual meetings, where statistics were announced.

On November 29, 2012, the annual meeting was held in St. Petersburg Metropolis . Secretary of the diocese, Bishop of Lodeynopol Mstislav said that there are 627 parishes and affiliated churches in the diocese, 15 monasteries united in 27 deanery districts (9 male and 6 women's), 17 monastic farmsteads (11 men's and 6 women's) and 11 sketes (8 male and 3 female). The diocese has 925 clergy and 5 bishops.

On December 20, 2012 , a report was published by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna, in which he announced data for the Moscow diocese: 1102 parishes (21 open during the year), 1506 churches, 1400 clerics (1287 priests, 113 deacons), 240 inhabitants of monasteries (65 - in men's, 175 - in women's).

December 8, 2012, speaking at a diocesan meeting Moscow, Patriarch Kirill announced statistics on the diocese of Moscow. By As of December 2012, there are 894 churches and chapels in Moscow, including 475 parish churches (regular services are held in 383), 90 under construction, 26 - temporary, in the areas allocated under the "Program-200". The patriarch did not name the exact number of clergymen in Moscow, but said that they was 146 more than last year.

On December 26, 2012, a meeting of the Kineshma diocese, recently separated from the Ivanovo-Voznesensk. According to the Bishop Kineshma and Palekh Hilarion, in the diocese there are 61 parishes and 2 monasteries - male and female. At the same time, there are 86 churches, 24 chapels, 24 prayer houses. IN the diocese is served by 94 full-time clergy (79 priests and 15 deacons), from 56 of them are white clergy (46 priests, 10 deacons), 38 are monks (33 priest, 5 deacons). Another 6 monks stay in monasteries (3 priests, 3 - monastics without dignity), 6 nuns.

On December 24, 2012, the annual meeting of Shuiskaya diocese, also separated from Ivanovo-Voznesensk. According to Bishop Shuisky and Teikovsky Nikon, as of December 2012, the diocese has 71 parish and 6 monasteries (4 male, 2 female). At the same time, 157 temples (of which 109 active, 73 parish, 41 chapels, 19 prayer houses and rooms). In state diocese 177 clergy (136 priests, 41 deacons), of which 47 (39 priests and 8 deacons) - white clergy, 121 (88 priests and 33 deacon) - black. The total number of inhabitants of the monasteries is 204 people.

On December 17, 2012, the annual meeting was held in Ivanovo-Voznesenskaya diocese. In the report of Metropolitan of Ivanovo-Voznesensky and Vichugsky Joseph it is reported that the diocese has 59 parishes (107 churches, of which 88 active, 30 chapels, 14 prayer houses and rooms) and 4 monasteries (2 male and female). Serving in the diocese are 132 clergy (113 priests and 19 deacons), 72 of them (62 priests and 10 deacons) are white clergy, 60 (51 priests and 9 deacons) - monks.

Speaking on December 28, 2012 at a meeting of the clergy of the Saratov diocese, Metropolitan of Saratov and Volsky Longin reported that in the diocese 131 parishes are registered, 8 more do not have registration (4 prison, 3 hospital, 1 temple in the cemetery), 4 monasteries (2 male and 2 female). In the diocese 180 clergy serve (155 priests and 25 deacons), of which 20 monastics. The number of nuns of women's monasteries is 21.

On December 24, a meeting of the Pyatigorsk diocese was held, during which Bishop of Pyatigorsk and Circassian Theophylact cited statistical data. There are 121 parishes in the diocese, 59 affiliated churches and chapels, 150 clergy (136 priests and 14 deacons). 28 inhabitants of monasteries - 8 for men, 20 for women.

December 27, 2012 Metropolitan of Voronezh and Borisoglebsk Sergiy made a presentation at a meeting of the Voronezh diocese. According to him, in 355 parishes are registered in the diocese, 47 more are not registered, there are 369 temples, 39 chapels and 50 prayer houses, with regular services are performed in 221, and in 45 rooms the liturgy is celebrated less than once a month. There are also 6 monasteries (3 for men and 3 for women). 393 serve in the diocese full-time clergy (357 priests, 36 deacons) and 15 supernumerary (14 priests, 1 deacon), 15 clerics are prohibited from serving (12 priests and 3 deacon). The total number of monks who have been tonsured is 106 people (76 in women and 30 in men).

December 17, 2012 Metropolitan of Saransk and Mordovia Varsonofy spoke at the annual meeting of the Saransk diocese. He, in particular, reported that there are 150 parishes, 6 monasteries (3 male and 3 female), serve 148 clergy (136 priests and 12 deacons).

December 22, 2012 under the chairmanship of Patriarch Kirill a meeting of the clergy of the Kaliningrad diocese was held. In his report, the patriarch mentioned statistics: 149 temples, 35 chapels (42 temples and 7 chapels in under construction), while there are only 70 parishes, 3 monasteries (all for women), 77 priests and 10 deacons in the state and 2 priests outside the state.

November 27, 2012 the diocesan meeting was held in the Kuban. As follows from the report of the Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidor, in The Yekaterinodar diocese has 463 parishes and 7 monasteries (2 male and 5 women), there are 100 chapels. 594 priests and 74 deacon.

On December 28, 2012, a meeting of the clergy was held Kasimov diocese (part of the Ryazan Metropolis). Bishop Kasimovsky and Sasovsky Dionysius reported that 109 churches operate on the territory of the diocese, 1 convent and 1 male monastic community. In parishes and monasteries 102 clergy serve.
