Tamara Kvitkovskaya seeks to ban the Lurkomorye website

On December 1, 2012, Tamara Kvitkovskaya, chairman of the Public Committee on Human Rights, sent a statement to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General's Office asking to recognize the website as extremist and block access to it. Lurkomorye

According to the author of the statement, the said “website contains many materials of extremist content, inciting religious hatred and enmity, cruelly humiliating the human dignity of believers (Christians and Muslims) on the basis of their attitude to religion”, in particular, “contains mocking and directed statements that identify the confession of the Orthodox Christianity and mental illness in a severe form of its development” (Orthodoxy of the brain, Christ of the brain, right-wing weakness).

T. Kvitkovskaya also draws attention to a number of other expressions used in relation to representatives of religious organizations (autofecal, potsrearch, rabid infidels, Muslims) and ethnic groups (bulbosrach, hohlosrach, pshekosrach), as well as the numerous use of obscene language by the authors and editors of the site.
