Bashkir State University requires female students not to wear Muslim clothing

On December 12, 2012, it became known that four students of the faculty Bashkir Philology and Journalism of the Bashkir State University an employee of the dean's office warned that if they did not stop wearing long skirts and scarves, they will not be allowed to the session. An employee of the dean's office reminded that BashSU - a secular educational institution, and also said that such an appearance of female students frightens guests from Moscow.

The commission visited the student hostel, where they also demanded that one of the students living there not wear a headscarf, because the hostel belongs to a secular university.

The students who received the remarks intend to complain to Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic.
