A suspect is being sought for distributing a Volya party leaflet in the Samara region.

On December 24, 2012, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Samara Region spread a message about the search for Ivan Churanov, a citizen of Vologda, who is a suspect in a criminal case under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of national hatred), initiated on May 5, 2011 in connection with the distribution of the leaflet of the Volya party "Do Russians want war?". According to law enforcement agencies, Churanov is located on the territory of the Samara region.

As a reminder, we believe that the distribution of this leaflet is not a sufficient reason for criminal prosecution, especially since the xenophobic statements contained in the text do not quite fall under the definition of extremism. In our opinion, the style of presentation and the essence of the leaflet testify to the incomplete mental adequacy of the author. The dissemination of this text did not pose a public danger.
