SMR filed a lawsuit against A. Grishin and R. Silantiev

On December 25, 2012, it became known that representatives of the Council muftis of Russia filed a lawsuit against a member of the Public Chamber Alexei Grishin and religious scholar Roman Silantiev. The applicants believe that the defendants repeatedly made incorrect statements about the SMR.

“Each meeting (in the Public chamber), in which Grishin participates, ends with a huge amount of criticism to the Council of Muftis of Russia: all around are extremists, criminals, bandits, Wahhabis. And all this must be listened to, read, and yet all this must be given decent answer. But as the most reasoned answer - we, our lawyers have been waiting for a long time - we found a number of statements that went off scale decency, addressed to the Council of Muftis of Russia by Silantiev and by Grishin, and our lawyers filed relevant lawsuits with the district courts of Moscow " , - said at an expanded meeting of the presidium and the apparatus of the Spiritual Administration Muslims of the European part of Russia, First Deputy Head of DUMER Damir Mukhetdinov.
