Case against Jehovah's Witnesses dropped in Chuvashia

They were suspected under paragraph "c" of part 2 tbsp. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliation of human virtues committed by an organized group), as well as for hours. 1 and 2 Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of an extremist community and participation in it). According to investigation, since 2009 they "organized a network of their structural subdivisions - assemblies - on the territory of the cities of Cheboksary, Novocheboksarsk, Kanash and Alatyr " . With the help of this network, the defendants in the cases distributed literature of Jehovah's Witnesses and the "ideological views" reflected in it , based on the denial and criticism of traditional cultural, moral and religious values" . Four believers in the summer of 2012 years were arrested, but later released from custody, two of them spent under arrest for five days, two more - 46.
