December 26, 2012 VTsIOM has published an annual rating of the Russian elite.
The survey was conducted in early December 2012 year in 138 settlements of Russia. It was attended by 1600 people. Participants survey, it was proposed to name 10 persons from among politicians, officials, clergy, creative and scientific elite, athletes and journalists who “can be ranked among the current Russian elite and have today the greatest merits before Russia".
The top ten included: V. Putin (64%), D. Medvedev (41%), S. Shoigu (30%), A. Pugacheva (18%), M. Prokhorov (16%), V. Zhirinovsky (15 %), G. Zyuganov (11%), A. Malakhov (11%), Patriarch Kirill (8%) and Philip Kirkorov (8%).
Compared to previous years, the rating of the patriarch fell: in 2009 he was 15%, in 2010 - 10%, in 2011 - 9%.
