The Assumption Church will be returned to the Old Believers of Morshansk in 2013

January 30, 2013 Governor of Tambov region confirmed the intention of the authorities to transfer the ownership of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church (ROCC) the building of the Assumption Church (1914) in Morshansk.

The church was closed at 1929, the icons were transferred to the local museum of local lore in 1924. In 1960 until 1990, the building housed a shop.

Recall that the Old Believers Morshansk have been seeking the return of the temple to believers since the late 1990s.
