Deripaska may donate to Olympstroy a port built for the Games in Sochi

The owner of Basic Element Oleg Deripaska can give Olympstroy a cargo port built in the Imereti Valley worth 6 billion rubles, Kommersant reports. The port turned out to be unprofitable due to the redistribution of cargo in favor of railways and roads.

Olimpstroy and the Ministry of Transport insisted on the construction of a cargo port in Imeretinka. Basel, as reported by Kommersant , agreed to invest in this project under certain conditions, which have changed in two or three years. In particular, officials' forecasts regarding port congestion did not come true.

Thus, VEB may recognize as uncollectible the loan issued to Oleg Deripaska’s company for the construction of this cargo port.
