Fine for "The ABCs of Domestic Terrorism" on a file-sharing network

On February 26, 2013, it became known that in Novokuznetsk, the world court found a 30-year-old local resident guilty under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (mass distribution extremist materials included in the published federal list of extremist materials, as well as their production or storage in for mass distribution).  Police officers and employees of the FSB of Russia Kemerovo region found that the woman posted in file-sharing network electronic version of the book "The ABC of home terrorism”, recognized as extremist by the decision of the Central District Court Novokuznetsk dated August 07, 2009.

In the magistrate's court, the distributor stated that she did not know about the illegality of this file. However, the court found her guilty and sentenced her to a fine of 1,000 rubles.
