The Perm Regional Court confirmed the refusal to grant a reprieve to Maria Alekhina

On March 4, 2013, the Perm Regional Court confirmed the refusal Berezniki city court to postpone punishment for Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina until her son reaches the age of 14.

Recall that Pussy Riot members were convicted for an action in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy motivated by hatred), Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina received two years in prison for general regime colony, Ekaterina Samutsevich - two years of suspended sentence with a trial period of two years. We consider this verdict unjustified.
